.RESOLUTION 16-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2017 SANITARY SEWER REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the Town of Los Altos Hills did, in open session, duly examine and consider all bids submitted to it for the construction of the 2017 Sanitary Sewer Repair and Replacement Project; and WHEREAS; the Public Works Director recommends that the contract for said project be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, C2R Engineering Inc., in the amount of $792,820.50; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Director recommends that funds of $79,280 be made available for construction contingency; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Director recommends that funds of $131,200 be made available for inspection and testing of said project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills that: 1. The Town hereby waives, as a minor bid irregularity, the portion of the bid which showed mobilization/demobilization for the base bid in excess of five percent but the total mobilization/demobilization of the base bid and bid alternatives at less than five percent collectively. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a contract with the lowest responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed $792,820.50. 3. The Public Works Director is hereby authorized to approve contract change orders in an amount not to exceed $79,280. 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute necessary contracts with inspection and/or testing firms in an amount not to exceed $131,200. The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 20`h day of April, 2017 by the following vote: AYES: Waldeck, Radford, Corrigan, Spreen, Wu NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None Resolution 16-17 Page 1
