RESOLUTION 47-17 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> AUTHORIZING AN HOURLY RATE OF$40 FOR THE TEMPORARY <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK/TECHNICIAN POSITION <br /> WHEREAS, Town Management has provisionally appointed the Building Technician to be the <br /> Building Inspector after earning an International Residential Building Inspector Certification; and <br /> WHEREAS, Town Management has provisionally appointed the Administrative <br /> Clerk/Technician to be the Building Technician after completing specialized training; and <br /> WHEREAS, the internal promotion resulted in the vacancy of the Administrative <br /> Clerk/Technician position; and <br /> WHEREAS,this Administrative Clerk/Technician position is a paraprofessional position, whose <br /> duties include general office management, general knowledge of Planning and Building processes, <br /> cash collection and processing, and agenda preparation and review; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Town held a recruitment and found a highly qualified candidate at$40 per hour, <br /> with no benefit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the pay rate is above the City Council approved salary range; and <br /> WHEREAS, Town Management believes the increased hourly rate is justified due to the <br /> candidates' years of experience in the areas stated above. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby resolve <br /> to authorize an hourly rate of$40 for the Temporary Administrative Clerk/Technician position. <br /> The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br /> Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of August 2017 by the following vote: <br /> AYES: Waldeck, Radford, Corrigan, Spreen, Wu <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> BY: <br /> <br /> <br /> - Gary Waldeck, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> , - <br /> Deborah Padovan, City Clerk <br /> Resolution 47-17 Page I <br />
