ORDINANCE 571 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING SECTION 4-3.1002 PARKWAYS OF TITLE 4, CHAPTER 3,ARTICLE 10 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE Whereas, the Town has no public facility designated as a"Parkway"; and, Whereas, the City Council finds that the parking of vehicles on Town paths should generally be prohibited in the interest of public safety; and Now, therefore, The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. AMENDMENTS Section 4-3.1002 ("Parkways") of Title 4 ("Public Safety"), Chapter 3 ("Traffic"), Article 10 (Stopping, Standing and Parking) of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 4-3.1002 Pathways. No person shall park a vehicle within or on any town pathway. Section 2. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder of this ordinance, including the application of such part or provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby and shall continue in full force and effect.To this end,provisions of this ordinance are severable. The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby declares that it would have passed each section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase hereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, subdivisions, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, or phrases be held unconstitutional, invalid, or unenforceable. Section 3. Effective Date; Publication. This ordinance shall take effect thirty(30) days after adoption. Within fifteen days after the passage of this ordinance the City Clerk shall cause this ordinance or a summary thereof to be published once, with the names of those City Councilmembers voting for or against it in a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Los Altos Hills, as required by law.
