• Prepare special engineering studies and reports. <br /> • Attend work related training for public works job function requirements. <br /> • Coordinate public works activities with other Town departments and with outside <br /> agencies. <br /> • Assist in the development and implementation of Town and/or departmental goals, <br /> policies, procedures and priorities. <br /> • Interpret and apply relevant codes, ordinances, rules and regulations; and as assigned, <br /> oversee regulatory agency permits and requirements. <br /> • Check plans for accuracy, suitability and completeness, and make recommendations for <br /> revision and improvement. <br /> • Meet and confer with developers, contractors, engineers and the general public relative to <br /> Town policies, regulations and procedures; coordinate discrepancies and problem <br /> situations with a wide variety of outside parties. <br /> • Administer and/or oversee the administration of contracts; review and approve payments <br /> and billings for contracted services. <br /> • Serve as staff liaison to a variety of Town and outside committees as assigned. <br /> • Oversee and participate in the review of projects under construction in the field; resolve <br /> complaints and problems in the field between the inspectors and developers, contractors <br /> and/or engineers. <br /> • Oversee and participate in the review of private development proposals including <br /> subdivision and parcel maps. <br /> • Prepare and oversee the preparation of engineering designs, specifications and cost <br /> estimates for a wide variety of capital improvement projects. <br /> • Coordinate maintenance of Town owned facilities, equipment, and vehicles. <br /> • Prepare maps using CAD. <br /> • Field work to prepare Capital Improvement Projects. <br /> • Perform other duties as assigned. <br /> Utility Engineering Manager <br /> Job Class Specifications—Approved November 16,2017 <br /> Resolution 67-17 Page 4 <br />
