ORDINANCE NO. 398 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING SECTION 2-1.101(a) OF THE LOS ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE REGULAR _ MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS WHEREAS, Section 2-1.101(a)of the Municipal Code of the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") requires that the regular meetings of the City Council of the Town shall be on the first and third Wednesdays of each month; and - WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it is more convenient to meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month. - NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does ORDAIN as follows: 1. AMENDMENT OF CODE. Section 2-1.101(a)[Regular meetings, time: place] of Chapter 1 [City Council] of Title 2 [Admin'istrationr of the Los Altos Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows-' - Time: Place. The Council shall-hold regular meetings on the first and third Thursdays in each month at the hour of 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California, or in such other place within the Town limits to which the meeting may be adjourned. However, in no event shall a legally required public hearing be held before 7:00 p.m. If, by reason of fire, flood, or other emergency, it shall be unsafe to meet in the Town Hall, meetings may be held at such other place as is designated by the Mayor for the duration of the emergency or, if he should fail to act, by four (4) members-of the Council. 2. SEVERABILITY. If any part of this ordinance is held to be invalid or inapplicable to any situation by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or the applicability of this ordinance to other situations. 1 N:\Data\Clients\LAH\Ord\Adml.ord
