ORDINANCE NO. 342 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING TITLE 9 <br /> (SUBDIVISION AND PLAN LINES) IN THE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING <br /> EXTENSION PERIODS FOR TENTATIVE MAPS TO CONFORM THE PROVISION TO <br /> THE CORRESPONDING PROVISION IN THE SUBDIVISION MAP ACT <br /> (CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTIONS 66401 ET SEQ. ) <br /> WHEREAS, Section 9-1.519 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal <br /> Code does not presently conform to the requirements of the <br /> Subdivision Map Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town now wishes to conform Section 9-1.519 to <br /> the requirements of Section 66452 .6 of the Subdivision Map Act; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos <br /> Hills does ORDAIN as follows: <br /> SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CODE. Article 5 (Tentative Maps) <br /> of Chapter 1 (Zoning) of Title 9 (Subdivision and Plan Lines) of <br /> the Los Altos Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending <br /> Section 9-1.519 to read as follows: <br /> Section 9-1.519 Expiration and extension of tentative map. <br /> (a) An approved or conditionally approved tentative map <br /> shall expire twenty-four (24) months after its approval or <br /> conditional approval. <br /> (b) The expiration of the approved or conditionally <br /> approved tentative map shall terminate all proceedings and <br /> no final map for all or any portion of the real property <br /> included within such tentative map shall be filed without <br /> first processing a new tentative map. <br /> (c) Prior to the expiration of the approved or <br /> conditionally approved tentative map, upon a written <br /> application by the subdivider to extend that map, the map <br /> shall automatically be extended for sixty (60) days or until <br /> the application for the extension is approved, conditionally <br /> approved, or denied, whichever occurs first. <br /> (d) Upon written application of the subdivider, filed <br /> prior to the expiration date of the approved or <br /> conditionally approved tentative map, the City Council may <br /> extend the time for the acceptance of a final map for a <br /> period not exceeding an additional twelve (12) months beyond <br /> the original twenty-four (24) month period. <br /> (e) The application for an extension shall state the <br /> reasons for requesting the extension. In granting the <br /> extension, new conditions may be imposed and existing <br /> conditions may be revised by the City Council. <br />
