RESOLUTION 32-18 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> MAKING DETERMINATIONS AND APPROVING THE REORGANIZATION OF <br /> UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS MORA HEIGHTS WAY NO. 1 <br /> CONSISTING OF 2.57 ACRES LOCATED AT <br /> 23220 MORA GLEN DRIVE AND 23261 MORA HEIGHTS WAY <br /> WHEREAS, A petition for the annexation of certain territory to the Town of Los Altos Hills and <br /> detachment of said territory from Santa Clara County, consisting of 2.57 acres located at 23220 <br /> Mora Glen Drive (APN 331-14-018) and 23261 Mora Heights Way (APN 331-14-026) has been <br /> filed by the property owners, Koorash Aflatooni and Mehmaz Ebtedaei; and Ian Gotlieb and <br /> Laura Carstensen. <br /> WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited and all owners of land included in the proposal consent <br /> to the annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 56757 of the California Government Code states that the Local Agency <br /> Formation Commission shall not review an annexation proposal to any city in Santa Clara <br /> County of unincorporated territory which is within the Urban Service Area of the city if initiated <br /> by resolution of the legislative body, and therefore the City Council of the Town of Los Altos <br /> Hills is now the conducting authority of said annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Government Code Section 56662(a) provides that if a petition for annexation is <br /> signed by all owners of land within the affected territory, the territory is uninhabited, and no <br /> affected local agency has submitted a written demand for notice and hearing during the 10-day <br /> period,the City Council may approve or disapprove the annexation without a public hearing; and <br /> WHEREAS,evidence was presented to the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 18, 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 05-18 initiating <br /> proceedings for annexation of the area designated as "Mora Heights Way No.1'; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State legislature has adopted the objective for LAFCO's to promote orderly <br /> boundaries and the efficient delivery of services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: <br /> A. The following findings are made by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills: <br /> 1.1 Said territory is uninhabited and comprises approximately 2.57 acres. <br /> 1.2 The territory is within the Town's Urban Service Area as adopted by the Local <br /> Agency Formation Commission of Santa Clara County. <br /> Resolution 32-18 Pagc I <br />
