5.2 Underground Project Status Report <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Warshawsky reported that the Town had received notification from <br /> PG&E that the project design would begin on May 1, 2006 Construction of the pilot <br /> project had tentatively been scheduled for early 2007. Warshawsky added that several <br /> neighborhoods had expressed an interest in undergrounding their utilities and the Ad Hoc <br /> Committee would be extending invitations to those interested to attend their February <br /> meeting. <br /> 5.3 Update on General Plan Review <br /> Planning Director Carl Cahill reported that the General Plan Review Ad Hoc Committee <br /> was currently finalizing their review of the Open Space Element and would address the <br /> Conservation Element next. Cahill noted that the Ad Hoc Committee would be <br /> requesting consideration of additional funding for assistance to accelerate the review <br /> process at the next Council meeting. <br /> 5.4 Update on Improved Cell Phone Coverage <br /> Considered in conjunction with discussion of Agenda Item 3. <br /> 5.5 Arastradero Traffic Signals Update (Mayfield Project) <br /> Planning Director Carl Cahill reported that the City of Palo Alto had completed their <br /> traffic counts and the analysis was expected to be available by the end of January. Staff <br /> would contact Palo Alto for a report of their findings. <br /> Mayor Kerr noted that he had experienced traffic congestion in the morning by the <br /> entrance to Pinewood School and questioned if the installation of a left turn lane into the <br /> school was feasible. City Engineer Henry Louie offered to investigate the situation and <br /> report back to Council. <br /> 5.6 Proposed Cancellation of Regular City Council Meeting of February 23, 2006 <br /> Following a brief Council discussion, it was determined that due to the school break, a <br /> quorum of Council would not be available for the February 23, 2006 regular City Council <br /> meeting. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Mordo, seconded by Warshawsky <br /> and passed unanimously to cancel the February 23, 2006 regular City Council meeting. <br /> • <br /> 8 <br /> City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> January 26,2006 <br />
