RESOLUTION 85-18 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS THE ADOPTING AN EMERGENCY EVACUATION PLAN WHEREAS, the preservation of life, property and the environment is an inherent responsibility of local, state and federal government; and WHEREAS, the Town recognizes that there could be a need to conduct an emergency evacuation of all or part of the Town dunng emergencies such as wildland fires and earthquakes, and WHEREAS, this Evacuation Plan was developed, with input from members of the Los Altos Hills Disaster Council, to describe the policies, procedures, coordination, roles and responsibilities specific to evacuation, and WHEREAS, this Evacuation Plan is an extension of the Los Altos Hills Emergency Operations Plan and will be reviewed and exercised periodically and revised as necessary to meet changing conditions, and WHEREAS, while no plan can completely prevent the consequences of disaster, reasonable plans camed out by knowledgeable and well-trained personnel can and will facilitate the most effective and efficient allocation of our resources, both public and pnvate, for the maximum benefit and protection of Town assets and the community; and WHEREAS, this Evacuation Plan will become effective on adoption by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, does hereby accept the Los Altos Hills Evacuation Plan as the directive for establishing the Town emergency evacuation organization, and urges all community stakeholders —individually and collectively—to do their part to create personal evacuation plans to support the community effort. The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of October 2018 by the following vote AYES Radford, Spreen, Comgan, Waldeck, Wu NOES None ABSTAIN None ABSENT None BY1--- C�� Radford, Mayor Resolution 85-18 Page 1
