RESOLUTION 29-19 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />ACCEPTING A PORTION OF LA LOMA DRIVE FROM PROSPECT AVENUE TO <br />SUMMIT WOOD ROAD AND LA LOMA COURT AS PUBLIC ROADS <br />WHEREAS, a portion of La Loma Drive from Prospect Avenue to Summit Wood Road and La <br />Loma Court were offered for dedication to public use pursuant to Tract Map No. 1257; <br />WHEREAS, the original owners of the property abutting the designated portion of La Loma <br />Drive starting from Prospect Avenue to Summit Wood Road and La Loma Court. dedicated to <br />public use that, designated portion of La Loma Drive to the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") as <br />public roads; <br />WHEREAS, the City,Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills at their meeting of June 1, 1959 <br />accepted that designated portion of La Loma Drive and La Loma Court as public roads; and <br />WHEREAS, in September 2018, that designated portion of La Loma Drive and La Loma Court <br />were repaved as part of the 2018 Pavement Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvement Project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1806 of the California Streets and Highway Code, "no public <br />or private street or road shall become a city street or road until the governing body, by resolution, <br />has caused the street or road to be accepted into the city street system"; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, at their meeting of June 20, 2019 <br />authorized formal acceptance of the designated. portion of La Loma Drive and La Loma Court to <br />be accepted by the Town resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, it is now appropriate for the Town of Los Altos Hills to accept the street for <br />public use of La Loma Drive and La Lorna Court right of ways under Streets and Highways <br />Code Section 1806. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />SECTION 1. The Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby accept the designated portion of <br />La Loma Drive from Prospect Avenue to Summit Wood Road and La Loma Court into the Town <br />Pavement Management Program. An exhibit showing the portion of La Loma Drive and La <br />Loma Court being accepted as public roads is attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall <br />cause a certified resolution to be filed in the Office of the City Clerk. <br />Resolution 29-19 Page 1 <br />
