RESOLUTION 68-19 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />AMENDING THE PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED MASTER PATH PLAN TO INCLUDE AN <br />OFF-ROAD PATHWAY FROM DIANNE DRIVE TO EAST SUNSET DRIVE ALONG <br />WITH THE EXTENSION OF EXISTING ROADSIDE PATHS TO CONNECT THE <br />OFF-ROAD PATH TO THE PATHWAYS NETWORK <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills General Plan includes a Master Path Plan (MPP) that <br />designates certain off-road and roadside paths in Town; and <br />WHEREAS, in March 2005, the City Council amended the Town's MPP to include multiple <br />off-road pathway segments after a thorough review of each segment at the Pathways Committee <br />and Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, in accordance with the 2008 Pathways Element, has determined <br />it is in the public interest to update the Master Path Plan with regards to the off-road and roadside <br />pathways system to reflect current resident's needs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Pathways Committee made a recommendation to the Planning Commission to <br />amend the 2005 MPP to include an off-road pathway from Dianne Drive to East Sunset Drive; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on September 5, 2019, the Planning Commission considered the proposed pathway <br />segment, all public comments received on the proposed alignment, and recommended, on a 4-1 <br />vote, that the City Council add an off-road pathway to the MPP from Dianne Drive to East <br />Sunset Drive along with the extension of existing on -road paths to connect the off-road path to <br />the pathways network; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills finds that this project is exempt <br />from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"), pursuant to Section <br />15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines, because it can be seen with certainty that the amendment <br />to the MPP will not have a significant effect on the environment.; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of law, a public hearing on the MPP amendment <br />has been held. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos <br />Hills hereby adopts an amendment to the Master Path Plan, as shown in Exhibit A. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of October, 2019 by the following vote: <br />Resolution 68-19 Page 1 <br />
