RESOLUTION 74-19 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT MODIFICATION AND SITE <br />DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FOR AN ADDITION AND REMODEL TO TOWN HALL <br />LOCATED AT 26379 FREMONT ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the Town Hall addition and remodel project was initiated by the City Council in <br />2018 with the purpose of addressing a shortage of employee office space and limited on-site <br />meeting and classroom facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council held multiple study sessions in 2018 and <br />2019 to receive public feedback and consider design alternatives for an expansion of Town Hall; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on March 21, 2019, The Council discussed the multiple conceptual site plans <br />developed by staff and voted 34-1 to proceed with a design that maximizes administrative and <br />operational needs while minimizing costs related to additional site improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 26, 2019, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider <br />the proposed addition and, after received public comments and discussing the project, voted 4-0- <br />1 to recommend approval to the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code, § <br />21000 et seq.) and the State CEQA Guidelines (California Code of Regulations, title 14, § 15000 <br />et seq.) (collectively, "CEQA"), the Town of Los Altos Hills is the lead agency for the proposed <br />Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills finds that this project is exempt <br />from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"), pursuant to Section <br />15301(e) since it is an addition to an existing structure that is less than 10,000 square feet, all <br />public services are available and adequate to serve the use, and the project is not located in an <br />environmentally sensitive area; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of law, a public hearing on the project has been <br />held; and <br />WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />hereby approves a Conditional Use Permit Modification and Site Development Permit for an <br />addition and Remodel to Town Hall pursuant to the Findings contained in Exhibit A and <br />Conditions contained in Exhibit B. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los <br />Altos Hills at a special meeting held on the 20th day of November 2019, by the following vote: <br />Resolution 74-19 Page l <br />
