TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS April 6, 2006 <br /> Staff Report to the Planning Commission <br /> RE: AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING AND SITE DEVELOPMENT CODES WITH <br /> REGARD TO EFFECTIVE DATE, APPEAL, AND COUNCIL REVIEW OF <br /> ACTIONS FOR ZONING AND SITE DEVELOPMENT PERMITS (SECTIONS <br /> 10-1.1108-1110, 10-2.1305, AND 10-2.1313) <br /> FROM: Debbie Pedro, AICP, Senior Planner7Q <br /> APPROVED BY: Carl Cahill., Planning Director/Acting City Manager c.L.- <br /> RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission: <br /> Forward a recommendation that the City Council adopt a resolution approving the <br /> proposed amendments to Sections 10-1.1108-1110, 10-2.1305, and 10-2.1313 of the Los <br /> Altos Hills Municipal Code (Appeal Period, Effective Date, and Council Review of <br /> Actions). <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> On February 16, 2006, the Planning Commission reviewed the proposed amendments to <br /> the zoning and site development ordinances. The purpose of the amendments is to <br /> reconcile existing discrepancies in the Town's Municipal Code with regard to the <br /> approval and appeal process for Zoning and Site Development permits, Variances, <br /> Conditional Use Permits (CUP), Conditional Development Permits (CDP), and Fast- <br /> Track project approvals. A brief summary of the amendments is as follow: <br /> Appeal Period <br /> The appeal period for Zoning and Site Development permits, Variances, CUPS, CDPs, <br /> and Fast Track project approvals will be twenty-two (22) days from the date of permit <br /> approval. <br /> Effective Date <br /> Zoning and Site Development permits, Variances, CDPs, CDPs, and Fast Track project <br /> approvals will become effective on the twenty-third 23rd day from the date of permit <br /> approval. <br /> Council Review of Action <br /> Zoning and Site Development permits, Variances, CUPs, CDPs, and Fast Track project <br /> approvals shall be placed on the Council's consent calendar within twenty-two (22) days <br /> from the date of permit approval for the sole purpose of eliciting any desired information, <br />
