Appointments to the Los Altos/Los Altos Hills Joint Volunteer Community <br />Service Awards Committee <br /> <br />City Clerk Padovan presented the three applications. <br /> <br />Donald Mattson, Los Altos Hills, introduced himself to the City Council and <br />expressed his interest in serving on the committee. <br /> <br />MOTION MADE AND SECONDED: Councilmember Tankha moved to <br />appoint Sandy Mingia, Donald Mattson, and Morvari Ahi to the Los Altos/Los <br />Altos Hills Joint Community Volunteer Service Awards Committee for a four-year <br />term. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Tyson. <br /> <br />Motion Carried 5 to 0: <br /> <br />AYES: Mayor Spreen, Vice Mayor Wu, Councilmember Corrigan, <br />Councilmember Tankha, Councilmember Tyson <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />C. Annual Public Safety Report Presentation by Santa Clara County Sheriff Office - <br />Captain Rich Urena <br /> <br />Santa Clara County Sheriff Captain Richard Urena presented the annual public <br />safety report for 2018. <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued. No action was taken. <br /> <br />A resident asked who to contact if they see a downed tree. Captain Urena replied <br />that calling 9-1-1 would be the best way to report a public safety incident. <br /> <br />D. Update on Los Altos Hills Open Space Land Stewardship and Community <br />Engagement by Grassroots Ecology
