RESOLUTION 25-21 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS UPDATING THE TOWN HALL BACKUP POWER <br />RESILIENCY CAPITAL PROJECT TO INCLUDE AN ELECTRICAL PANEL <br />UPGRADE AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH NOLL & TAM ARCHITECTS AND O'MAHONY & MYER <br />ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS FOR RELATED WORK <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills has a Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Policy to <br />replace generators after 15 years or 5,000 hours of service; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing emergency back-up generator at Town Hall has been in service for 27 <br />years and run for 176 hours since its instillation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 39-19 approving the FY2019-20 Operating and <br />Capital Budget which included the replacement of the existing emergency back-up generator at <br />Town Hall; and <br />WHEREAS, a panel upgrade of the Town's electrical service is needed prior to any work being <br />conducted replacing the generator; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 20, 2020, the City Council added the Town Hall Addition Project to the <br />FY19-20 capital projects list which included a panel upgrade to the electrical service room at Town <br />Hall; and <br />WHERAS, on September 17, 2020 the City council awarded the contract of architectural design <br />services for Phase Two of the Town Hall Addition Project to Noll & Tam Architects; and <br />WHEREAS, Noll & Tam Architects and their electrical subcontractor O'Mahony & Meyer <br />Electrical Engineers, have already completed aspects of design work in relation to the panel <br />upgrade; and <br />WHEREAS, the Town has received a $250,000 grant to assist with the Generator Replacement <br />Project which has a performance period running July 1, 2020 — October 31, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, to meet the grant's performance period the work associated with the panel upgrade <br />shall be transferred from Phase Two of the Remodel Project to the Emergency Generator Capital <br />Improvement Project. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />hereby authorizes updating the Town Hall Backup Power Resiliency Capital Project to include an <br />electrical panel upgrade and to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Noll & <br />Tam Architects and O'Mahony & Myer Electrical Engineers for related work. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of May 2021 by the following vote: <br />Resolution 25-21 Page 1 <br />
