RESOLUTION 22-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS <br />ALTOS HILLS ADOPTING THE APPROVING THE REVIEW <br />CRITERIA FOR THE AUTOMATIC LICENSE PLATE READER PILOT <br />PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, on April 15, 2021, the Los Altos Hills City Council approved the installation of 40 <br />Automatic License Plate Readers cameras (ALPRs) at fixed locations throughout Town for the <br />purposes of deterring crime and helping to create a safer environment for all those who live, <br />work, or visit the Town; and <br />WHEREAS, the Town has partnered with the ALPR camera vendor, Flock Safety, to install these <br />cameras throughout Town; and <br />WHEREAS, the ALPR system was approved under a 60 day no -cost pilot program which <br />officially started on February 1, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to properly review the ALPR system and have a robust discussion on the <br />impact that these cameras have had in Town, a set of agreed upon criteria should be established; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the findings of the review criteria will help the Council decide whether or not to keep <br />the cameras past the pilot period. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby accepts the <br />attached review criteria for the ALPR pilot program. (Attachment A). <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on 17th of February 2022 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Tyson, Swan, Mok, Schmidt, Tankha <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: <br />Deborah L.
