RESOLUTION 27-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS <br />ALTOS HILLS ACCEPTING THE CONTINUED USE OF THE ALPR <br />SYSTEM IN TOWN PASSED THE PILOT PERIOD <br />WHEREAS, on April 15, 2021, the Los Altos Hills City Council approved the installation of 40 <br />Automatic License Plate Readers cameras (ALPRs) at fixed locations throughout Town for the <br />purposes of deterring crime and helping to create a safer environment for all those who live, <br />work, or visit the Town; and <br />WHEREAS, the Town entered into a 60 -day no -cost pilot program for the system, which ran from <br />February 1, 2022 to March 26, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to properly review the ALPR system and have a robust discussion on the <br />impact that these cameras have had in Town, on February 17, 2022 the City Council approved of <br />evaluation criteria for the ALPR system; and <br />WHEREAS, the findings of the pilot period show that the ALPR system has had a positive benefit <br />in keeping the Town safe and helping the Santa Clara County Office of the Sheriff investigate <br />crimes. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby has reviewed the <br />findings of the ALPR system and has approved of the continued use of the camera system in Town <br />passed the pilot period. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on 17th of March 2022 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Tyson, Swan, Mok, Schmidt, Tanlcha <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: <br />V4kOe4�7� <br />eborah L.
