RESOLUTION 42-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />APPROVING ADDENDUM #1 TO THE SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH 4LEAF TO <br />EXPAND THE SCOPE OF SERVICES TO INCLUDE STREAMLINING PERMITTING <br />PROCESS FOR THE ELECTRIFICATION PROGRAM FOR THE BUILDING <br />DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, Planning and Building Department is committed to providing professional, <br />courteous, and efficient service to the public, ensure that new development complies with local, <br />state, and federal land use and environmental regulations, and guide the physical development of <br />the Town in a manner that is consistent with the goals and values of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 17, 2022, the City Council approved services agreement with 4LEAF <br />and WC3 for a period of three (3) years with a not to exceed amount of $150,000 per contract <br />($50,000 per year) to ensure the availability of plan examiners, permit technicians, and on-call <br />building inspectors; and <br />WHEREAS, the service agreement with both consulting firms included a scope of services to <br />provide for on-call building department staffing, including Building Officials, Permit Technicians; <br />Plan review services; and inspection services; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 21, 2021, City Council adopted Climate Action Plan (CAP) that includes <br />measures to reduce Green House Gas emissions; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 25, 2022, the City Council adopted Strategic Priorities Plan 2022 and <br />included implementation of the Climate Action Plan as one of the key projects/initiatives with a <br />key milestone to `simplify city permitting processes and reduce permit fee for electrification <br />conversions.'; and <br />WHEREAS, 4Leaf provided additional scope of services for electrification program; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommend to add electrification project to the scope of services to 4Leaf <br />services agreement to ensure that the Council goals are met in a timely manner; and <br />WHEREAS, the contract amount with 4Leaf shall remain the same and not to exceed $150,000 <br />for a period of three (3) years ($50,000 per year); and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />that the City Manager is hereby authorized to approved Addendum #1 to 4leaf contract services <br />agreement to include streamlining permitting process for the electrification program for the <br />Building Department. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on 21St day of April 2022 by the following vote: <br />Resolution 42-22 Page 1 <br />
