RESOLUTION 45-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS <br />ALTOS HILLS APPROVING A SITE PLAN DESIGN FOR THE <br />DEDICATED ART SCULPTURE IN THE ROUNDABOUT OF THE <br />TOWN HALL PARKING LOT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO ENGAGE WITH A CONTRACTOR FOR RELATED <br />INSTALLATION WORK NOT TO EXCEED $60,000 <br />WHEREAS, on January 16, 2020, the City Council adopted resolution 02-20 which accepted a <br />donation of $100,00 from Karen Druker. The donation was restricted to the acquisition of a <br />sculpture in public spaces in Town; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 30, 2020, the Town entered into an agreement with Stoller Studio, Inc. for a <br />stainless steel sculpture which covered fabrication, transportation, and installation oversight by the <br />artist; however, the agreement did not include site design and construction work for the installation <br />of the sculpture; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends that the sculpture be installed in the roundabout of the Town Hall <br />parking lot. This location has received support from the Town's Public Art Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, using estimates from landscape contractors, staff predicts that the cost of installing <br />the sculpture to be around $51,808.00. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby approves of a site <br />plan design for the dedicated art sculpture in the roundabout of the Town Hall parking lot, <br />appropriates $60,000 from the unreserved general fund for the related installation work, and <br />authorizes the City Manager to engage with a contractor not to exceed $60,000 for the related <br />work. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on 21St of April 2022 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Tyson, Swan, Mok, Schmidt, Tankha <br />NOES: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />AT EST: <br />Deborah L.
