RESOLUTION 39-22 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS ADOPTING THE NEW SEWER CONNECTION FEES WHEREAS, the City Council held an open and public meetings regarding the adoption of a sewer connection fee schedule for property within the Palo Alto Basin and the Los Altos Basin, pursuant to Government Code Section 66016 and in all manner required by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council has complied with all statutory requirements for imposing the sewer connection fee as set forth in Government Code Sections 66013 and 66016; and WHEREAS, Pursuant to Municipal code section 6-4.435 Sewer connection fees shall be adopted by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, Section 15273 of the California Environmental Quality ACT (CEQA) guidelines states that CEQA does not apply to the establishment, modification, structuring, restructuring, or approval of rates, tolls, fares, or other charges by public agencies which the public agency finds are for the purpose of: 1. Meeting operating expenses, including employee wage rates and fringe benefits, 2. Purchasing or leasing supplies, equipment, or materials, 3. Meeting financial reserve needs and requirements, 4. Obtaining funds for capital projects, necessary to maintain service within existing service areas, or 5.. Obtaining funds necessary to maintain such intra -city transfers as are authorized by city charter. WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that this action is exempt from CEQA based on the foregoing provisions; and WHEREAS, the new fees shall be effective on the date of its adoption. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills adopts the new sewer connection fees as follows: Type of Connection Units of Service Costper Residence (1 to 60 F.U.) 1 $11,236 Church 1 $11,236 Country Club 2.68 $30,112 Office 1.84 $20,674 Fire Station 3 $33,708 Resolution 39-22 Page 1
