Town of Los Altos Hills City Council Special Meeting Minutes Thursday, July 24 2008 Y Council Chambers, 26379 Fremont Road CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Mordo called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. Present: Mayor Jean Mordo, Councilmember Craig A. T. Jones, Councilmember Breene Kerr and Councilmember Mike O'Malley, Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Dean Warshawsky Staff: City Manager Carl Cahill, City Engineer/Public Works Director Richard Chiu, Finance Director Nick Pegueros, Planning Director Debbie Pedro, Parks and Recreation Supervisor Eric Christensen, City Attorney Steve Mattas, City Clerk Karen Jost PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR • No comments from the floor. NEW BUSINESS 1. Consideration of a Resolution of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills Authorizing the City Manager or City Manager's Designee to Sign Right-Of-Way Certifications in Connection with State and Federally Funded Projects. City Engineer/Public Works Director Richard Chiu introduced the item to Council. The Town has applied and is qualified to receive Federal funds for projects including the Fremont Road Pavement Rehabilitation and the El Monte Road pathway. Certification by the Town that the right-of-ways necessary for the projects will or have been acquired is a requirement of federal and state funding. Council had before them a resolution that would authorize the City Manager and Director of Public Works to execute the necessary certifications. MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Kerr, seconded by O'Malley and passed unanimously to adopt Resolution No. 48-08 "Authorizing the City Manager and Director of Public Works to Execute Right-of-Way Certifications."
