I") •� <br /> compensation and proceeds. Town shall use all suchP roceeds in a manner consistent <br /> with this Conservation Easement. <br /> 17. Estoppel Certificates. Upon request by Owner, Town shall within 21 days <br /> after receipt of such request execute and deliver to Owner any document, including an <br /> estoppel certificate, which certifies Owner's compliance with any obligation of Owner <br /> contained in this Conservation Easement and otherwise evidences the status of this <br /> Conservation Easement as may be reasonably requested by Owner. <br /> 18. Notices. Unless otherwise specified in this Conservation Easement, any <br /> notice, demand, request, consent, approval, or communication that either party desires or <br /> is required to give to the other shall be in writing and either served personally or sent by <br /> first class mail,postage prepaid, addressed as follows: <br /> To Owner: Lois Crozier Hogle <br /> 2000 Old Page Mill Road <br /> Palo Alto,CA 94304 <br /> To Town: Town of Los Altos Hills <br /> Attn:Mayor <br /> 26379 Fremont Road <br /> Los Altos Hills, CA 94022 <br /> or to such other address as either party from time to time shall designate by written notice <br /> to the other. Notice shall be deemed effective upon delivery in the case of personal <br /> delivery or delivery by overnight courier or, in the case of delivery by first class mail, <br /> five days after deposit into the United States mail. <br /> 19. Recordation. In accordance with Section 815.5 of the Cal. Civil Code,this <br /> instrument shall be recorded by Town in the Official Records of Santa Clara County, <br /> California. Town may re-record this Conservation Easement whenever rerecording is <br /> required to preserve Town's rights in this Conservation Easement. <br /> 20. General Provisions. <br /> 20.1 Controlling Law. This Conservation Easement shall be governed <br /> by and construed under the laws of the State of California. <br /> 20.2 Liberal Construction. Any general rule of construction to the <br /> contrary notwithstanding, this Conservation Easement shall be liberally construed in <br /> favor of Town to effect the purposes of this Conservation Easement and the policy and <br /> purpose of Section 815 et. seq. of the Cal. Civil Code. If any provision in this instrument <br /> is found to be ambiguous, an interpretation consistent with the purposes of this <br /> Conservation Easement that would render the provision valid shall be favored over any <br /> interpretation that would render it invalid. This instrument shall be construed in <br /> Crozier Hogle Conservation Easement 10 <br />
