Meeting Minutes <br /> March 8, 2007 <br /> Town of Los Altos Hills <br /> City Council Special Meeting <br /> Thursday, March 8, 2007 6:00 P.M. <br /> Council Chambers, 26379 Fremont Road <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL,AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Mayor Warshawsky called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the <br /> Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br /> Present: Mayor Dean Warshawsky, Mayor Pro Tem Craig A.T. Jones, <br /> Councilmember Breene Kerr, Councilmember Jean Mordo and <br /> Councilmember Mike O'Malley <br /> Absent: None <br /> Staff: City Manager Carl Cahill; Public Works Director/City Engineer Henry <br /> Louie, Planning Director Debbie Pedro, City Attorney Steve Mattas, and <br /> City Clerk Karen Jost <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Jones, seconded by Kerr and passed <br /> unanimously to limit comments from the floor to two minutes. <br /> 2. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> Valerie Metcalfe, Resident, Parks and Recreation Committee Co-Chair, noted that she <br /> was before Council to address them on the closed session agenda item #4. On behalf of <br /> the Committee and as a boarder of Westwind Committee Barn, she urged the City <br /> Council to reconcile the issues with the Friends of Westwind. She was hopeful that <br /> issues could be resolved so that efforts could be directed to moving forward with the <br /> Parks and Recreation programs at Westwind and the restoration of the Barn. <br /> Rebecca Hickman, Resident, member of the Parks and Recreation Committee, thanked <br /> the Council for their efforts to resolve the issues at the Barn. In particular, she thanked <br /> Councilmembers Mordo and Kerr for the hours they had devoted to the negotiations. She <br /> encouraged the Council to put the issues at the Barn "to bed" and to move forward with <br /> the restoration of the Barn. <br /> Resident, La Loma Drive, explained that he was a neighbor of the Barn and spoke to the <br /> positive relationship his family had developed with the Friends of Westwind. He <br /> commented that they had been warm and welcoming neighbors and his family was now <br /> boarding their horse at the facility and were very happy "customers".
