<br />MINUTES OF A RFGULAR MEETING
<br />November 13, 1967
<br />Chairman 4. 7. Hinckley called the meeting to order at 7:46 P. M. at the
<br />Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following
<br />members answered Roll Call: .Present: Commissioners Bowler, Dawson, Hibner,
<br />Lachenbruch, Perkins, Sherlock and Chairman Minckley.
<br />Council was represented by Councilman Mary C. Davey.
<br />APPROVAL OF iii LiUTES: October 239 1967,
<br />Amendments: 1) P. 1, Approval of Minutes, 3rd para., add to end of sent.,
<br />°except for spocial items"; 2) P. 5, Other Business by Commissioners, 2nd
<br />para., Ist line, following 7th word, add "official' and capitalize 'plan
<br />line,.
<br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Commissioner Hibner moved, seconded by
<br />Commissioner Perkins, and carried unanimously by voice vote, that the Minutes
<br />of October 23, 1967 be approved as amended.
<br />COMMUNICATION'-:
<br />1) LeLter da Le November 1, 1967 from the Board of Supervisors, County of
<br />Santa Clara, requesting comments by November 22, 1967 on the enclosed proposed
<br />County Zoning Policy Resolution relating to County zoning policy of territory
<br />in close proxiuity to incorporated cities. Proposed resolution was read by
<br />Staff and TAn Cnairman directed this business be taken up under Other Business.
<br />2) Latter da'ied :November 10, 1967 from Pair. J. H. Whitman, owner of acreage in
<br />Los Altos hills, opposing any slope density controls requiring in excess of
<br />the ono acre minimum, was read by Staff.
<br />3) Letter dated November 10, 1967, addressed to the Mayor and read by Chairman
<br />Hinckley, -Crow Mrs. Betty Byrne delahara, 3322 P Street, Washington, D. C.,
<br />relating to the slope density discussion agendaed for this meeting and
<br />suggescinn a study should be made and made public as to what extent a slope
<br />density ordinance will reduce property values if adopted.

<br />1. JOhn SMI, uugene R. (V-291-67) - Reduction of setback requirement to 15' on
<br />both sides of property line for new residence at 27765 Via Ventana (Lot #17,
<br />Tract n659).
<br />Staff Report was read, as well as the following communications relating to the
<br />variance:
<br />1) letter dated November 7, 1967 from Jack A. Hundeford, 27789 Via Ventana,
<br />opposing the granting of the requeste6 variance.
