PLANNING COMMISSION TO:iN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEZTI14G January 8, 1968 Chairman ,7. F. Minckley called the meeting to order at 7147 P. M. at the Town Hall, 26379' Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following members answered Roll Call: Present: Commissioners Bowler, Hibner, Lachenbruch, Perkins, Sherlock and Chairman Minckley. Absent: Commissioner Dawson. Council Representative: Councilman ',falter A. Benson. APPROVAL OF r4INUTES: December 11, 1967. MOTION, S'3CONDcD AND CARRIi.D: Commissioner Bowler moved, secondeC, by Commissioner Perkins, and carried unanimously, that the Minutes of December 11, 1967 be approved as submitted. COP-fiIUNIC,'.TIONS: 1. Staff read letter dated January, 1968 from City Attorney advislmgthat, in consideration of applications for variances, the Planning Commission should be guided by the criteria now established by the State Planning Act, rather than by those set forth in Section 13:60 of Ordinance No, 78. The letter quoted the new criteria to be followed. 2. Letter dated January 6, 1968 from Frank B. Duveneck, Hidden Villa Ranch, Los :,Itos, expressing support for proposals to regulate slope density, was read by Staff. 3. Letter dated December 11, 1967 from George Heimendinger, 27150 Moody Court, expressing opposition to the regulation of slope density, was read by Staff. 4. Memorandum dated December G, 1967 from Commissioner Gordon E. Bowler to the Planning Commission on the subject of "Luxury vs. Simplicity in the Rural 3nvironment." Memo was referred to the Commission for study. 5. Staff read letter dated December 13, 1967 from Edward Harpoothian, 24300 Summerhill Avenue and Martin J. Nauer, 24290 SuMerhill 'venue, stating their intent to proceed with a Quitclaim Deed in order to solve a boundary encroachment involving their properties. Letter was referred to City Attorney for recommendation to Commission. 6. Letter dated December 30, 1967 from Juanita L. Morgan, outgoing City Clerk, expressing her appreciation and extending best wishes to the Co:maission. AANOUNC3PLINTS: 1. Staff introduced Dennis R. Lairr, new City Clerk -Treasurer. 2. Chairman Minckley noted it was in order for the Commission to select a neva Chairman. Commission agreecl to agenda the election of officers for the next meeting, January 22, 19683 to coincide with the January 23rd expiration date.
