PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TO:iN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEZTI14G <br />January 8, 1968 <br />Chairman ,7. F. Minckley called the meeting to order at 7147 P. M. at the Town <br />Hall, 26379' Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following members <br />answered Roll Call: Present: Commissioners Bowler, Hibner, Lachenbruch, <br />Perkins, Sherlock and Chairman Minckley. Absent: Commissioner Dawson. <br />Council Representative: Councilman ',falter A. Benson. <br />APPROVAL OF r4INUTES: December 11, 1967. <br />MOTION, S'3CONDcD AND CARRIi.D: Commissioner Bowler moved, secondeC, by <br />Commissioner Perkins, and carried unanimously, that the Minutes of <br />December 11, 1967 be approved as submitted. <br />COP-fiIUNIC,'.TIONS: <br />1. Staff read letter dated January, 1968 from City Attorney advislmgthat, <br />in consideration of applications for variances, the Planning Commission <br />should be guided by the criteria now established by the State Planning Act, <br />rather than by those set forth in Section 13:60 of Ordinance No, 78. The <br />letter quoted the new criteria to be followed. <br />2. Letter dated January 6, 1968 from Frank B. Duveneck, Hidden Villa Ranch, <br />Los :,Itos, expressing support for proposals to regulate slope density, was <br />read by Staff. <br />3. Letter dated December 11, 1967 from George Heimendinger, 27150 Moody <br />Court, expressing opposition to the regulation of slope density, was read <br />by Staff. <br />4. Memorandum dated December G, 1967 from Commissioner Gordon E. Bowler to <br />the Planning Commission on the subject of "Luxury vs. Simplicity in the <br />Rural 3nvironment." Memo was referred to the Commission for study. <br />5. Staff read letter dated December 13, 1967 from Edward Harpoothian, <br />24300 Summerhill Avenue and Martin J. Nauer, 24290 SuMerhill 'venue, <br />stating their intent to proceed with a Quitclaim Deed in order to solve a <br />boundary encroachment involving their properties. Letter was referred to <br />City Attorney for recommendation to Commission. <br />6. Letter dated December 30, 1967 from Juanita L. Morgan, outgoing City Clerk, <br />expressing her appreciation and extending best wishes to the Co:maission. <br />AANOUNC3PLINTS: <br />1. Staff introduced Dennis R. Lairr, new City Clerk -Treasurer. <br />2. Chairman Minckley noted it was in order for the Commission to select a <br />neva Chairman. Commission agreecl to agenda the election of officers for the <br />next meeting, January 22, 19683 to coincide with the January 23rd expiration <br />date. <br />
