PLAMq ING COMI'+IISSION <br />TOdN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />6 MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING <br />February 1z, 1968 <br />Chairman F. Minckley called the meeting to order at 7:50 P. M. at the Town <br />Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following mem- <br />bers answered Roll Call: Present: Commissioners Bowler, Dawson, Lachenbruch, <br />Perkins, and Chairman Minckley. Absent: Counissioneis Hibner and Sherlock. <br />COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE: Councilman ,dim. Ross .Aiken. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: January 22, 1968. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Commissioner Dawson moved, seconded by Bowler, <br />and carried unanimously, that the Minutes of January 22, 1968 be approved as <br />submitted. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />1. Memoranduo dated February 14, 1968 from Councilman Mary C. Davey to the <br />Planning Commission suggesting that the Commission budget be increased to <br />include a part-time planning consultant. Commission concurred that the Staff <br />shouldinvestigate this possibility. <br />2. Memorandum from the City Manager to the Planning Commission suggesting <br />that the Commission meet in official session once per month on the 2nd Monday <br />of the month. He recommended that the 4th Monday of the month be strictly <br />designed for planning. City Manager noted that official business could be <br />conducted on the 4th Monday of the month if necessary in order to not delay <br />an applicant. Commission indicated approval of this propsgul procedure. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. Chairman Minckley announced that the County Planning Policy Committee <br />has completed its recommendations and they will be available to the Commission <br />in the near future. <br />2. Commissioner Dawson presented information on landslides to the Commission. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />1. Commissioner Lachenbruch noted that the Mid -Peninsula Foothills Planning <br />Committae is completing its final recommendations and also noted that the <br />City Council of Portola Valley recently approved the hiring of a geological <br />consultant. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />LChairman <br />Minckley <br />introduced Bob Ross, representing the Santa Clara <br />County <br />Assessor's Office, <br />tax bill with t'.,e <br />who discussed the implications of slope density <br />Commission. Mr. Ross noted that the enactment of <br />to the <br />slope <br />density legislation would normally reduce the tax assessment. <br />
