PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING <br />July 22, 1968 <br />Chairman W. F. Minckley called the meeting to order at 7:45 P. M. at the <br />Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following <br />members answered Roll Call: Commissioners Hibner, Lachenbruch, Perkins, <br />and Chairman Minckley. Absent: Commissioners Dawson, Magleby, Sherlock. <br />COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE. Councilman Walter A. Benson <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: July 8, 1968. <br />Amendment: Page 2, Item 3, 1), Section 1:30 should begin with the word "In" <br />and the word "the" before 'maximum retention' should be deleted. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Commissioner Hibner moved, seconded by <br />Lachenbruch and carried unanimously, that the Minutes of July 8, 1968 be <br />approved as amended. <br />COMMUNICATIONS• <br />Chairman Minckley reviewed letter from William D. Weisgerber, Chairman of <br />the County Planning Policy Committee, dated July 12, 1968, requesting <br />L support for the Planning Policy Committee Program and urging the Town to <br />appropriate $100.00 toward a secretarial position to be used by the Committee <br />and the Inter -City Council, <br />Chairman Minckley noted the Council had approved the expenditure July 15th, <br />Commissioner Lachenbruch expressed appreciation of the Commission to <br />Chairman Minckley for his participation on the Committee during the last <br />eighteen months. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />City Manager noted that the Commission representative to the Council meeting <br />of August 5th would be Chairman Minckley and that the Map Committee for the <br />August 12th Commission meeting would be Commissioners Lachenbruch and Perkins. <br />OLD BUSINESS• <br />1. PUBLIC HEARING re CONSIDERATION OF AMENDMENTS TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 78, <br />PROVIDING FOR AN OPEN SPACE RESERVE ZONE. <br />At 8:06.P, M., Chairman Minckley declared the Public Hearing open, Staff <br />report was presented noting the following significant amendments: 1) The <br />creation of two zoning districts: a) R -A Residential -Agricultural; and, <br />b) OSR Open Space Reserve; 2) Permitted Primary Uses OSR Districts: <br />a) Agricultural; b) Forest Preserves; and c) Open Spaces. Town Planner <br />noted all property within the Town would be within the R -A District at this s. <br />time and reviewed the inclusion of guidelines re granting of conditional <br />use permits. <br />
