L <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />tw TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING <br />November 25, 1968 <br />Chairman W. F. Minckley called the meeting to order at 7:50 P. M. at the Town <br />Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following members <br />answered Roll Call: Commissioners Dawson, Hibner, Lachenbruch, Perkins, <br />Weisbart, and Chairman Minckley. Absent: Commissioner Magleby. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: November 12, 1968. <br />Amendment: Page 3, 5th paragraph, insert 'single' in the place of "singular <br />additional condition.....". <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Commissioner Dawson moved, seconded by Perkins <br />and carried unanimously, that the Minutes of November 12, 1968 be approved <br />as amended. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Commissioner Perkins, Chairman of the Private Road Committee, noted the <br />Committee had been meeting with Town officials and would present an interim <br />report to the Commission in the near future. <br />DIVISIONS OF LAND: TENTATIVE MAP: <br />1. Parkside Subdivision (351-68) 44 lots, 68.85 acres, between Altamont <br />and Moody Road. Engineer Sandis and Associates. <br />Staff report was presented, noting the following: <br />1) The proposed subdivision has 44 lots, while 59 lots would be allowed <br />under slope density requirements. <br />2) Anonymous donations by Town residents, totalling $30,000, had been <br />pledged to purchase five lots along Moody Court for the purpose of preserving <br />open space and increasing the proposed park corridor to 28.3 acres. <br />3) The beautiful spring on Byrne Park had been preserved by exchanging <br />three lots on Nature Conservancy Land for two lots of the subdivision <br />adjacent to the spring. <br />City Manager read the following communications: <br />a) George F. Solomon, 26871 Moody Road, dated November 21, 1968, opposing <br />the creation of eight lots along Moody Court, which would have inadequate <br />access and drainage facilities. <br />b) Petition filed by eight property owners adjoining Moody Court, dated <br />November 21, 1968, objecting to the use of Moody Court as a public thorough- <br />fare for the Parkside Subdivision. <br />4W c) Merlyn D. Stubbs, 26811 Moody Court, dated November 24, 1968, objecting <br />to the declaration of lots 36, 39 and 40 as building sites, due to severe <br />drainage problems. <br />d) M. G. Boissevain, 27181 Sherlock Road, dated November 25, 1968, objecting <br />to the proposed subdivision and noting the drainage problems along Moody <br />Court; the conflict with Town ordinances, since Moody Court is a private <br />road already serving five houses; that the proposed park dedication area is <br />too steep to be traversed; and that rural living should be preserved in the <br />vicinity of Moody Court. <br />
