:TANNING COMMISSION <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />December 9, 1968 <br />Chairman W. F. Minckley called the meeting to order at 7:46 P. M. at the Town <br />Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following <br />members answered roll call: Commissioners Dawson, Hibner, Lachenbruch, <br />Magleby, Weisbart, Chairman Minckley. Absent: Commissioner Perkins. <br />COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE: Councilman John M. Fowle. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: November 25, 1968. <br />Commissioner Dawson moved, seconded by Hibner and carried unanimously, that <br />the Minutes of November 25, 1968 be approved as submitted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. Chairman Minckley noted that this would be the last meeting of Lowell W. <br />Morse, City Manager. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Commissioner Dawson moved, seconded by Hibner <br />and carried unanimously, that the Planning Commission express their <br />appreciation to Lowell W. Morse for his efforts during the past two years <br />toward achieving the goals of the community. <br />r COUNCIL REFERRALS: <br />` 1. City Manager noted that the Council had concurred +,ith Planning Commission <br />denial of the request of Dr. H. J. Beaver for change of access to Arastradero <br />Road for lots 5, 7, 8, Tract #2093 and had referred the matter back to the <br />Planning Commission for review of a new alternative to be submitted by the <br />applicant. City Manager noted the applicant's engineer would conduct pre- <br />liminary hearings with the Staff prior to filing a revised application. <br />2. City Manager noted the Council had requested the Planning Commission to <br />review Alternative II Tentative Map of the Parkside Subdivision, which would <br />have exchanged five lots located in Byrne Park for the eight lots along <br />Moody Road. City Manager stated that the Nature Conservancy had not approved <br />the lot exchange and therefore the matter was not before the Commission at <br />this time. <br />VARIANCES: <br />1. IOlTZ, DR. MARTIN (V-315-68) - Request for 9' reduction in rear setback <br />and 17` reduction in side setback for stable at 26850 Ortega Drive. <br />Staff report was presented, noting the 17' public utility easement imposed a <br />hardship on the lot, that all adjacent property owners had signed approval, <br />and recommending approval. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Commissioner Dawson moved, seconded by <br />Weisbart and carried unanimously, that,pursuant to Section 65-906 of the <br />State R%anning Act, the Planning Commission recommend approval of the <br />variance application of Dr. Martin Katz (V-315-68) for 9' reduction in rear <br />setback to 11' and a 11' reduction in side setback to 9' for stable at <br />26850 Ortega Driveā€ž <br />
