PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />January 12, 1970 <br />Chairman William A. Perkins called the Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission <br />of the Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:47 P. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont <br />Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following members answered roll call: <br />Present: Commissioners Dawson, Hibner, lachenbruch, McReynolds, Minckley, Weisbart, <br />Chairman Perkins. Absent: None. <br />COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE: Councilman Mary C. Davey <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: December 8, 1969. <br />Commissioner Minckley moved, seconded by Dawson and carried unanimously, that the <br />Minutes of December 8, 1969 be approved as submitted. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: December 15, 1969. <br />Commissioner Hibner moved,seconded by Dawson, that the Minutes of December 15, 1969 <br />be approved as submitted, was carried by majority voice vote, Commissioner Minckley <br />abstaining. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />1. Mrs. Donald Spencer, President of Los Altos Hills Association, dated January 2, <br />1970, urging immediate establishment of sphere of influence for remaining unincorpor- <br />ated lands; deferred to "OTHER BUSINESS". <br />2. Joseph R. Herr,13480 Mandoli Drive, dated December 9, 1969, requesting 15' <br />reservation for future widening of Arastradero Road be eliminated from his property; <br />deferred to "OTHER BUSINESS". <br />3. California Institute of American Planners dated January 8, 1970, stating that a <br />policy statement would be forthcoming in the near future supporting the need for <br />communities to meet the housing needs of all people; deferred to Town Planner to be <br />tentatively considered at the next Study Session. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. The Lands of Costello Tentative Map (363-69) - 9 lots, 13.7 acres, Summerhill <br />Avenue and El Monte Avenue, would be continued to February 9, 1970 at the applicant's <br />request; Commission concurred. <br />2. Chairman Perkins stated a third item under "OTHER BUSINESS" would be consideration <br />of planning priorities and finances for the remainder of the Fiscal Year. <br />3. City Manager stated 1,000 Casurina Stricta seedlings have been received at the <br />Town Hall and are available to Town residents for a donation of $.20 each. <br />4. Election of Commission officers will be agended for the February 9, 1970 meeting <br />and the four year terms of Commissioners Dawson and Minckley expire March 14, 1970, <br />Vav,I 5. The City Council had taken a recommendation to the County Inter -City Council that <br />no annexation of soutna foothills be allowed until a comprehensive land use study <br />is made and the Council had also requested joint opposition to the proposed Westridge <br />Shopping Center. <br />
