r <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />March 9, 1970 <br />Chairman Wm. A. Perkins called the Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission <br />of the Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:45 P. M. at the Town Hall, <br />26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following members <br />answered roll call: Present: Commissioners Dawson, Hibner, Lachenbruch, <br />McReynolds, Hinckley, Weisbart, and Chairman Perkins. Absent: None. <br />COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE: Councilman Mary C. Davey <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: February 23, 1970. <br />Corrections: <br />1, P. 1, Announcements, (2), 2nd para., 3rd line, add "or optional date of <br />March 1811. <br />2. P. 3, Other Business, Item 1, A, 1., change 'district' to "distinct". <br />Chairman Perkins moved, seconded by Hinckley and carried unanimously, that <br />the Minutes of February 23, 1970 be approved as corrected. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />1. Letter from the Palo Alto Planning Commission dated February 26 proposing <br />the date of May 6, 1970 for the Joint Palo Alto/Los Altos Hills Planning <br />4W Commission meeting re Arastradero traffic, in lieu of the suggested dates. <br />City Manager was requested to respond to Mr. Jack Giosso, Chairman of the <br />Palo Alto Planning Commission, that the Los Altos Hills Planning Commission <br />concurs unanimously with this date. <br />Commissioner Weisbart moved that there be a permanent liason with the Palo <br />Alto Planning Commission; however, Motion died for lack of a Second, since <br />Commission concensus that the Planning Policy Committee was the proper <br />vehicle for this liason effort. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Commissioner Hinckley moved, seconded by <br />McReynolds and carried unanimously, that the Planning Commissioners each <br />submit a white paper to the Staff by March 23 for consolidation of their <br />views on the Arastradero Corridor for review at the April 13th meeting. <br />2. Memo from Councilman Davey dated March 5 expressing her feelings on the <br />proposed horse ordinance and noting the additional work load to administer <br />this ordinance would far outweigh the revenues received. Councilman Davey <br />further expressed her appreciation to the Commission for their efforts in <br />preparing this proposal. <br />3. Letter from Gerald G. Ferrari, attorney representing Daughters of Charity <br />(UP -340-70) was presented, which stated background material for clarification <br />of their Use Permit application. <br />4. Letter from Commissioner Laurence Dawson dated February 27, 1970 stating <br />his desire not to be considered for reappointment to the Commission. <br />Chairman Perkins requested Commissioner Dawson to serve until such time as <br />a replacement has been appointed. <br />
