PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />November 23, 1970 <br />Chairman Weiebart called the Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission of the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:50 P.M. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, <br />Los Altos Hills, California. The following members answered roll call: <br />Present: Commissioners Hibner, Lachenbruch, Perkins, Spencer and Chairman Weiebart. <br />Absent: Commissioner McReynolds. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of November 9, 1970 <br />Commissioner Spencer moved, seconded by Hibner and carried by majority vote that <br />the minutes of November 9, 19700 be approved with the following correction: <br />Page 4, Divisions of Land, Parkside Units 92, 3 and 4: Add to end of second <br />paragraph: "Chairman Weiebart opposed the granting of variances or pregrading at <br />the time of Tentative Map approval, since she felt variances and pregrading should <br />be considered on an individual lot basis at the time of site development. <br />Commissioners Lachenbruch and Perkins abstained since they were absent from the <br />November 9th meeting. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />1. Santa Clara County Planning Commission advised of hearing regarding a request <br />6 to keep horses in an unincorporated area. It was noted as a point of interest that <br />unlike the Town, the County requires submittal of a plot plan as well as the request <br />to keep a horse. <br />2. Comments were requested by December 3, 1970, regarding a proposed horse ordinance <br />being considered by the Santa Clara County Planning Commission. <br />DIVISIONS OF LAND: Tentative Maps; <br />1. STEERS, J. D. (373-70) 7 lots, 13.52 acres, located between Central Drive and <br />Buena Vista Drive. Engr. Saudis 6 Assoc. <br />Staff noted this item was continued from the September 28, 1970 meeting to allow the <br />Private Road Committee time to study the road problem in the MCP area and make some <br />recommendation. In addition, the Health Department had reversed their initial <br />requirement that this subdivision be sewered, since sewer trunks were not available <br />within a reasonable proximity to this subdivision. However, due to the terrain, the <br />Health Department indicated lots of two to three acres might possibly be required to <br />accommodate septic tanks, and that assumed percolation tests to be made were <br />acceptable. Mr. Fritschle stated that the questionable status of access over <br />Central Drive and Buena Vista also had not yet been clarified and until these two <br />problems were resolved, Staff could not proceed with the applicant to prepare a <br />check list for consideration by the Commission. <br />Discssion was Centr <br />Driveopened <br />, who reques edthat by tthehe oCommissionnly floor pnoticonsider this subdivision separately el <br />but as an opening to the entire area. <br />40 <br />
