4 PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />January 25, 1971 <br />Chairman Priscilla R. Weisbart called the Regular Meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of the Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:50 P. M. at the <br />Tam Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following <br />members answered roll calls Present: Commissioners Hibner, Lachenbruch, <br />Magruder, McReynolds, Perkins, Spencer and Chairman Weisbart, <br />CITY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE: Councilman Mary C. Davey <br />APPROVAL CF MINUTES: January 11, 1971. <br />Commissioner Perkins moved, seconded by Spencer and carried by majority vote <br />(Commissioner Hibner abstained) that the Minutes of January 11, 1971 be <br />approved with the following corrections: <br />Page 1, under Variances (Sahakian V-348-70)9 change first sentence of <br />second paragraph rom bottom of the page to read: "Staff recommended <br />a 10' variance(&liming for reduction of 30' to 20' for the sideyeard <br />setback from the proposed garage) would be reasonable." <br />40 <br />Page 2, under Old Business (Matadero Oaks 374-70), 2nd para., 10th line, <br />change referenced amount of credit to read $44,000.00 instead of $11,000.00 <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: January 12, 1971. <br />Commissioner Lachenbruch moved, seconded by Spencer and carried by majority <br />vote (Commissioners Weisbart, Perkins and Hibner abstained, since they had <br />been absent) that the Minutes of January 12, 1971 be approved as written. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Commissioner McReynolds noted that, as a result of the Court's decision <br />favoring the Campbells in their cross-complaint against the Santa Clara County <br />Flood Control District, the Flood Control District was contemplating Adobe <br />Creek improvements from Tepa Way to Foothill College. <br />Commission concurred that the Town should review these proposed plans to <br />assure compatibility with the Town's desire to avoid a concrete -lined creek <br />bed. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. SAHAKIAN, V. R. (V-348-70) Lot #26, Tract #3659 - Variance request <br />continued from Planning Commission meeting of January 11. <br />Staff stated that this variance request had been continued to allow Staff <br />and the applicant to further review and arrive at an acceptable setback <br />reduction. It was noted that the choice for the building site was limited <br />by the steep terrain and the location of the large oak trees. <br />
