• • <br /> , <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 30-00 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> ESTABLISHING POSTED SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN STREETS AND <br /> ESTABLISHING CERTAIN STREETS AS LOCAL RESIDENTIAL STREETS WITH A <br /> PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT OF 25 MPH <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills is required every seven (7)years to update <br /> its radar survey in order to comply with the California Vehicle Code Section 40802 <br /> requirements for the use of radar on Town streets for the purpose of speed limit <br /> enforcement unless an engineer can certify that no significant changes have occurred, in <br /> which case the radar survey shall be updated every ten (10) years; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1995 the Town contracted with Brian Kangas Foulk for traffic <br /> engineering services to perform the radar survey and engineering and traffic investigation <br /> ("Survey") as required by the California Vehicle Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town passed and adopted Resolution 28-95 on April 19, 1995 <br /> which established prima facie speed limits based upon the Survey; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town desires to continue to use the prima facie speed limits to <br /> remain compliant with California Vehicle Code Section 40802. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos <br /> Hills that based on the results of the 1995 radar survey and traffic and engineering <br /> investigation: <br /> 1. The following speeds shall continue to be used to facilitate the orderly <br /> movement of vehicular traffic and are deemed to be reasonable and safe and thus shall <br /> be the established as the posted speed limits on the following streets: <br /> Name of Street or Portion Affected Declared Prima Facie Speed Limit <br /> (Miles Per Hour) <br /> Altamont Road 30 <br /> Page Mill Road to Taaffe Road <br /> Altamont Road 35 <br /> Taaffe Road to Moody Road <br /> Arastradero Road 35 <br /> Burke Road 30 <br /> Chapin Road 30 <br /> Concepcion Road 30 <br /> El Monte Road, eastbound 40 <br /> El Monte Road, westbound 30 <br /> N:\DATA\Clients\L\LAH\Res\speed-survey.RUT <br />
