PLANNING COMMISSION TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING May 22, 1972 REEL PC -8: SIDE I, TRACK I -- FOOTAGE 00 - END REEL PC -8: SIDE 2, TRACK I -- FOOTAGE 00 - 320 Chairman McReynolds called the Regular Meeting of the Planning Commisslon of the Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:50 P. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. The following members answered roll call: Commissioners Lachenbruch, Magruder, Mueller, Perkins, Spencer, and Chairman McReynolds. Commission- er Weisbart arrived at 8:00 P. M. Absent: None. CITY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE: Councilman Lee J. Kubby APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May B. 1972. Commissioner Spencer moved, Seconded by Magruder and carried by majority vote (Commissioner Perkins abstaining since he was absent from the May 8th meeting), that the Minutes of May 8, 1972 be approved as submitted. COMMUNICATIONS: (PC -8: SI, T I - 300-350) I. Letter and petition submitted by Mr. Duncan Curry, III, 26750 Almaden Court, dated May 10, 1972, and residents of Almaden Court, were read. The residents of Almaden Court are asking the Town to consider abandoning that portion of Almaden Court which extends west from the bulb at the end of the cul-de-sac. They are objecting to the possibility of Almaden Court becoming a through street by connecting with Natoma Road at some future date. The Commissioners concurred that this request should be agended at the next meeting since they had not had sufficient time to review the request. COMMITTEE REPORTS: (PC -8: SI, T I - 04 - 08) 1. Commissioner Magruder reported that the Adobe Creek Channel Committee had met and that a written report had been circulated to Interested parties. He Indicated that it would be August or later before the Santa Clara County Flood Control and Water District would have more detailed information for the Committee's considera- tion. ADJOURNED TO STUDY SESSION: (PC -8: S I, T I - 08 - 300) REVIEW PROPOSED 1972-73 BUDGET AND STUDY COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES AS THEY PERTAIN TO PLANNING. Mr. Charles S. McCandless, Chairman of the Council appointed Open Space Committee, presented the Inventory map Indicating all the land in Los Altos Hills currently un- developed. Discussion ensued regarding how this Inventory would be used in develop - Ing the Town's Open Space Element of the General Plan. Mr. George G. Mader, Town Planner, reported he would use this Inventory as a tool but would hope that the Citizens Committee could be called upon to give guidance as to priority of land to be acquired for open space. The Commissioners unanimously expressed their apprecia- tion and thanks to Mr. McCandless and his Committee for their fine work. to
