ROLL CALL <br />Present: Commissioners Lachenbruch, Perkins, Spencer, Ueisbart and <br />Chairman McReynolds. <br />Absent: Commissioners Magruder and Mueller <br />S Staff Present: Town Planner, George Mader; City Manager, Bruce Lawson; <br />and City Engineer, Alexander D. Russell <br />B. CO-MTINUIHG BUSINESS <br />1. APPLICATION FOR A USE PERAIT: Mr. David Bellucci, Applicant. <br />Request for a Use Permit for a non-profit recreational facility to <br />be located on Boody Road. <br />Mr. Lawson gave a brief summary of the progress rade on the Use Permit <br />Application for Hr. David Bellucci at the last Commission Meet?ng. <br />Mr. Lawson stated that he was of the understadJing that the Public Hearing <br />process in the review of this application, had been closed at the last <br />meeting and has been carried to this meeting for further discussion by <br />the Commission and action. <br />41r. Lawson further pointed out that the Comnisison need not take further <br />testimony on the Use Permit and that if the Commission voted on the <br />Use Permit the matter could end with the Commission unless the Council <br />chooses to review the decision of the Planning Commission, in which case <br />it would be set for Public Hearing. <br />Mr. Mader advised the Commission the Use Permits must meet all the require- <br />ments listed before it can be granted, just as a variance must meet all <br />the six requirements listed. <br />The Commission was in agreement that it would be in the best interests of <br />the applicant and the Town to continue to hear ccmments from the public <br />and to review correspondence received from residents in the area of the <br />proposed Use Pernit. <br />Mr. Lao -son read the correspondence received from ?r. James a Saeba, <br />Nr. Uiiliam S. Phy and Mr. J. 1•1. McCleary. All three letters were opposing <br />the approval of the Use Permit and expressed areas of concern with regard to <br />traffic, drainage, etc.. <br />
