ROLL CALL Present: Commissioners Lachenbruch, Perkins, Spencer, Ueisbart and Chairman McReynolds. Absent: Commissioners Magruder and Mueller S Staff Present: Town Planner, George Mader; City Manager, Bruce Lawson; and City Engineer, Alexander D. Russell B. CO-MTINUIHG BUSINESS 1. APPLICATION FOR A USE PERAIT: Mr. David Bellucci, Applicant. Request for a Use Permit for a non-profit recreational facility to be located on Boody Road. Mr. Lawson gave a brief summary of the progress rade on the Use Permit Application for Hr. David Bellucci at the last Commission Meet?ng. Mr. Lawson stated that he was of the understadJing that the Public Hearing process in the review of this application, had been closed at the last meeting and has been carried to this meeting for further discussion by the Commission and action. 41r. Lawson further pointed out that the Comnisison need not take further testimony on the Use Permit and that if the Commission voted on the Use Permit the matter could end with the Commission unless the Council chooses to review the decision of the Planning Commission, in which case it would be set for Public Hearing. Mr. Mader advised the Commission the Use Permits must meet all the require- ments listed before it can be granted, just as a variance must meet all the six requirements listed. The Commission was in agreement that it would be in the best interests of the applicant and the Town to continue to hear ccmments from the public and to review correspondence received from residents in the area of the proposed Use Pernit. Mr. Lao -son read the correspondence received from ?r. James a Saeba, Nr. Uiiliam S. Phy and Mr. J. 1•1. McCleary. All three letters were opposing the approval of the Use Permit and expressed areas of concern with regard to traffic, drainage, etc..
