:• • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 56-09 <br /> WHEREAS,the Town of Los Altos Hills recognizes that it is in the interest of the regional, state, and <br /> national economy to stimulate the economy; create and retain jobs; reduce fossil fuel emissions; and <br /> reduce total energy usage and improve energy efficiency within our jurisdiction; <br /> WHEREAS,Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant(EECBG) funds are available through <br /> the California Energy Commission for grants to eligible local governments for cost-effective energy <br /> efficiency projects; <br /> WHEREAS,the Town of Los Altos Hills is an eligible EECBG grant recipient and is eligible to <br /> receive up to $46,733.00 of EECBG funds for cost-effective energy efficiency projects; <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the Town of Los Altos Hills to participate in the EECBG program <br /> through a lead collaborative applicant since it appears to be the only way that the Town can fully <br /> utilize the entire $46,733.00 EECBG allocation; <br /> WHEREAS, Acterra a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at 3921 East Ba shore Road, Palo <br /> Alto and which specializes in local green home solutions, has developed a high energy home audit <br /> program that is regional in scope and more further described in the attached project description, is <br /> willing and eligible to apply to the EECBG program on behalf of eligible cities/counties; <br /> WHEREAS, Acterra agrees to assume all responsibility for providing the California Energy <br /> Commission with detailed documentation of all project expenses and complying with all applicable <br /> federal and state tracking and reporting requirements; <br /> NOW,therefore, be it resolved that the Town of Los Altos Hills authorizes Acterra to apply for the <br /> EECBG funding allocated to the Town of Los Altos Hills for a specific Acterra project known as the <br /> High Energy Home Audit Program and to implement the proposed Project if EECBG funding is <br /> approved by the Energy Commission.
