• • <br /> (ii) The charges to and duties of this Committee shall be: <br /> a. to serve as an advisory body to the Council on matters related to <br /> Westwind Community Barn; <br /> b. to assist in the planning, development and implementation of a <br /> Master Plan for Westwind Community Barn that would include the function of the facility and <br /> associated space; the intensity of use for both equestrian and non equestrian activities; and, the <br /> form of the facility and the auxiliary space; <br /> c. to assist in the development of a budget for the renovation of <br /> Westwind Community Barn and to make recommendations to the City Council; <br /> d. to identify the funding sources both public and private for any <br /> proposed renovations or seismic retrofit improvements of Westwind Community Barn; and <br /> e. to serve as an advisory body to the City Council on the approved <br /> Westwind Community Barn Master Plan and any future amendments. <br /> (j) Education Committee <br /> (i) The membership of this Committee shall consist of seven (7) members <br /> including two (2) City Councilmembers who shall be voting members. <br /> Members shall be selected so as to ensure,to the extent possible, a <br /> representation of school districts serving the Town. The Committee shall <br /> be the "eyes and ears" of the City Council on education issues and <br /> promote education opportunities for Los Altos Hills resident children. <br /> (ii) The charges to and duties of this Committee shall be: <br /> a. to monitor school district activities, including but not limited to, <br /> attending district board meetings, monitoring press coverage, and being placed on district <br /> "interested-party" distribution lists. Committee members shall be assigned to one of the three <br /> school districts serving Los Altos Hills and will be expected to attend approximately one-half of <br /> the assigned district's board meetings; <br /> b. to maintain a census of Los Altos Hills and nearby students <br /> (private and pubic), including district-provided enrollment data and Town-sponsored surveys; <br /> c. to publish an annual Los Altos Hills enrollment summary, <br /> including trend presentations and considering neighborhood subdivisions, as appropriate; <br /> d. to promote attendance at Los Altos Hills public schools. <br /> Promotional efforts include the periodic distribution of informative articles through Los Altos <br /> Hills publications and the inclusion of bulletins on all district school options in the Los Altos <br /> Hills new resident packets; <br /> 10 <br />
