That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Resolution with the Santa Clara <br /> County Board of Supervisors and the Registrar of Voters of the County of Santa Clara. <br /> 4. That the CityManager is authorized and directed to compensate the Countyfor the cost <br /> g P <br /> of conducting the General Municipal Election for the City. <br /> 5. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish a Notice of General <br /> Municipal Election within the time and manner specified in California Elections Code <br /> Section 12101. <br /> 6. Pursuant to Sections 10228 and 13307 of the Elections Code,the City Council approves <br /> and adopts the following uniform policies and procedures concerning the General <br /> Municipal Election to be held on November 4, 2008: <br /> a) Each candidate shall be permitted to submit a Candidate's Statement of no more <br /> than 200 words. <br /> b) Candidates shall be exempt from charges for the cost of translations mandated by <br /> the Federal Voting Rights Act and the preparation and mailing of said Candidate's <br /> Statements. <br /> c) Candidates shall be exempt from payment of any filing fee. <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the City Council <br /> of the Town of Los Altos Hills, California, at a meeting held on the 22nd day of May, 2008 by the <br /> following roll call vote: <br /> AYES: Mayor Jones, Vice Mayor Mordo, Councilmember Kerr, <br /> Councilmember O'Malley and Councilmember Warshawsky <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> By: <br /> Craig A.
