A PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTO:, HILLS <br />MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING <br />August 22, 1957 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.M., Thursday, August <br />22, 1957, by Chair^sy Hart Tantau at the Town Hall, 26379 West <br />Fremont. Las Aito> :gills. This adjourned meeting was called to <br />consider the appi.ieetion of Frank L. Martinelli, Jr. for a use <br />pol��it for a Country Club. <br />POLL CALL: PRESENT: Chairman Tantau, Bullis, Dawson, Mellquist, <br />Spain, Williams <br />ABSENT: Sherlock, Powell <br />ON LEAVE: Stedman <br />MINUTES: The Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of <br />August 17, 1957, will be considered at the next <br />4W regular meeting on Thursday, September 5, 1957. <br />Commissioner Mellquist gave a resume of his on-site inspection of <br />Adobe Creek Lodge and the history of Mr. Martinelli's application. <br />1. Under the new proposal there would be an immediate <br />.reduction of about 90% of the traffic on Moody <br />Road. <br />2. Adjoining property owners are in favor of this <br />proposal. <br />3. A public recreation facility in this area would be <br />the only one to date in Los Altos Hills and might <br />be preferable to the residential use of this land. <br />Mr. Martinelli, Jr. and his Attorney, Mr. William E. Anderson <br />replied to questions asked by Mayor Trost and the Commissioners. <br />Mr. Martinelli explained his map of the 65 acres involved in this <br />application. He was asked by the Commission to: <br />1. Supply a more accurate map delineating the 65 acres <br />involved in the new proposal and showing the 34 <br />acres that will remain residential. <br />Town Attorney Bullis submitted his legal memorandum on the status <br />of Adobe Creek Lodge. <br />
