PLANNING COMMISSION <br />[ TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />r" MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />July 3, 1958 <br />The meeting of the Planning Commission of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />was called to order by Chairman Omar N. Spain Thursday, July 3, 1958 <br />at 7:38 P. M. at the Town Hall, 26399 West Fremont, Los Altos Hills. <br />ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Commissioners Case, Holm, Mellquist, Tantau <br />(arrived 7:45 P. M.), Chairman Spain <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Dawson, Hayes, Williams <br />MINUTES: June 21st, 1958. <br />Ccrrections: Page 3, Item #2, Beaver: Errors in dates of <br />letters referred -to--En—Items #2 and #3 should <br />be: City Engineer's letter of June 3, 1958 <br />and Health Department's letter of June 11, <br />1958. <br />ACTION: <br />Adopt minutes of June 21st, 1958 as corrected. <br />CORRESPONDENCE; <br />1. McCandless 1,Jett - Letter, dated June 272, 1958 and signed by <br />i am . ongmier, was in answer to the request of the Planning <br />Commission for information concerning the County's policy relat- <br />ive to roads and the improvements required where a perimeter road <br />to a roposed subdivision is a County road. The subdivision of <br />Dr. Harold J. Beaver was cited as an example. <br />The letter also called attention to the subject of required rights- <br />of-way relative to public roads in the Town, and suggested policy <br />regarding the establishment of rights-of-way of major roads such <br />as West Fremont, Page Mill, and E1 Monte -Moody Roads should be <br />clarified before approving final maps including such roads. <br />The Chairman asked the Deputy Clerk to forward this letter to the <br />Council for its meeting of July 72. 1958, and requested copies of <br />the letter for each member of the Planning Committee. <br />2. Nestor Barrett - Letter, Fated June 23, 1958, included two (2) <br />cop es o e Los Angeles County Ordinance, recently adopted to <br />regulate grading and excavating in Los Angeles. <br />The suggestion was made that a study of grading and excavating <br />regulations be made by the Planning Commission. Chairman Spain <br />410 mentioned that the proposed draft of the Zoning Ordinance has a <br />section pertaining to grading and excavating, and suggested that <br />members of the Planning Commission study the proposed draft, and <br />pass along their comments to the Committee recently appointed by <br />the Mayor to study the draft. <br />7-9-58 <br />
