VARIAKE AND PEPOIT COMMISSION <br />Town of Los Altos Hills <br />Los Altos Hills, California <br />cc: Reel 24, Side 2, Tr. 1 - 1975-219 <br />Commissioner Carico called the meeting of the Variance and Permit Com"ission <br />to order at 7:00 PH in the Council Chambers of Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road: <br />A. ROLL CALL: <br />Present: Commissioners Carico, Young <br />Absent: Commissioner Magruder <br />Staff: City Engineer Alex Russell.Asst. Planning Consultant Tom <br />Vlasic, Deputy City Clerk Noma Hislop <br />B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: April 10, 1974 <br />Commissioner Young stated that on p. 2 of the Minutes, para. 3, the following <br />should be added: "Staff stated precedents had been set for such a variance <br />and that no objections had been received from neighbors." <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Young, seconded by Commissioner Carico, and <br />unanimously carried that the Minutes of April 10, 1974 be approved as <br />corrected. <br />C. REQUESTS FOR VARIANCE - T. Coster, for swimming pool, 12910 Brendel Drive: <br />Mr. Vlasic stated the Staff's findings and recommendations concerning this <br />request was contained in the Staff Memo of April 17, 1974, which had been <br />forwarded to the Commissioners for review. No conditions had been recommended <br />but Staff recommended that the Commission find the request categorically <br />exempt from requirements of thq CEQA. <br />Commissioner Young commented that he would like to establish that unless this <br />request were granted, the pool would have to be put in front of the house, or <br />require substantial grading. Mr. Vlasic agreed. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Young, seconded by Commissioner Carico and <br />unanimously carried that the request for variance be granted, rand that it <br />be categorically exempt from requirements of CEQA. <br />D.
