VARIANCE AND PERMIT COMMISSION <br />Town of Los Altos Hills <br />26379 Fremont Road <br />Los Altos Hills, California <br />Minutes of a regular meeting <br />Wednesday, June 11, 1975 <br />Reel 36 - Side 1, Tract 2, 001 to 180 <br />Chairman Schick called the regular meeting of the Variance and Permit <br />Commission to order at 6:40 pm in the Council Chambers of Town Hall, 26379 <br />Fremont Road: <br />A. ROLL CALL: <br />Present: Commissioners Brown, Perkins (6:54), Chairman Schick <br />Absent: None <br />Staff: City Engineer Alec Russell, City Planner/Building Inspector <br />Ken Pastrof, Planning Secretary Kate Tenney <br />B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: April 23, 1975 <br />There being no corrections, Chairman Schick declared the minutes of <br />April 23, 1975 approved as submitted. <br />C. REQUEST FOR BUILDING SITE APPROVAL: <br />1. LANDS OF ROBINSON, Lot 10, Block M. Tract 2062, La Cresta Drive, <br />Robinson, Engineer, BSA -6041-75 <br />Based on the Subdivision Committee meeting of April 29, 1975, ensuing <br />dialogue with Engineer L. Robinson, owners Mr. Haller and Mr. Robinson, <br />and field inspection, Staff recommended approval of Building Site <br />Approval with conditions as stated in the Staff memo of June 6, 1975. <br />The applicant spoke to two of the conditions, asking for the rationale <br />of the fees charged and the need to prohibit hoofed animals. <br />Commissioner Perkins was concerned with Geology problems and asked Staff <br />if there would be problems with slippage as with Adonna Court and Anacapa. <br />He felt that the drainage problem should be dealt with at the BSA level. <br />City Engineer Alec Russell noted that there was no way to guarantee that <br />slippage would not occur, but that Staff and the Town Geologist both <br />approved of granting this BSA with Conditions 1-8 inclusive. <br />Commissioner Perkins moved, seconded by Commissioner Brown, to add <br />Condition 9 to the list of conditions, stating that runoff from down- <br />spouts, driveway, etc. be directed to the nearest underground drainage <br />`,, facility to prevent slippage or problems on adjacent lots and this to <br />be decided at Site Development.
