1
4W
PLANNING COPM4ISSION
Town of Los Altos Hills
26379 Fremont Road
Los Altos Hills, California
ADJOURNED MEETING
Saturday, February 14, 1976
Commissioner Perkins called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m., In the Conference
Room, Town Hall, Los Altos Hills, California.
A. PRESENT: Chairman Carlco, Commissioners K. Brown, L. Hillestad,
W. Perkins, D. Proft, and K. Young. A. D. Russell,
City Engineer.
It was noted that this meeting was called to discuss what Information and data
should be compiled for an "Introspection" night. Commissioner Perkins thought
the meeting should be a low key, low expense one, and commented that its success
depended upon the Involvement of each member of the Commission as well as the
general public. Commissioner Perkins hoped that the Planning Commissioners
could generate the same kind of enthusiasm and cooperation that produced the
MCCP (the area bounded by Moody Road, Moody Court, Central Drive and Page Mill)
plan in 1970. The Planning Commission In 1970 worked with the residents of
that area and developed a plan for that rugged, complex area that met with the
approval of the residents and the Planning Commissioners alike. It was never
adopted, possibly because of a change in the Council and Planning Commission
members.
Commissioner Perkins led the discussion on possible topics for Introspection:
what the Commission has been doing for the past six years; should they continue
that trend or make changes, what is the overall plan for the Town, have the
objectives of the founding fathers been meta
There was general agreement that an Introspection Night would be desireable,
and should be scheduled for an early date In the future. Basic information and
data which the Planning Commission would need included:
1. A map,
In colors, showing
a)
the areas in the Town which can be further subdivided;
b)
the areas where tentative subdivision maps have been approved;
c)
The Town's urban service area boundary and sphere of influence;
d)
The boundaries of the two school districts in the Town;
e)
The boundaries of the two water districts in the Town;
f)
The boundaries of the sewer districts and the sewer mains in
each district;
g)
Areas occupied by religious organizations;
h)
Areas occupied by existing schools, noting in a different color,
those schools to be phased out;
I)
Areas under the Williamson Act.
2) Statistical data for the period 1970 through 1975:
a)
Number of subdivisions processed per year, noting the number of
parcels, gross acreage of the original parcel and the net area
after subdivision.
b)
The number of homes constructed each year; the average habitable area;
and total land area covered, Including driveways and parking.
