PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Town of Los Altos Hills <br />26379 Fremont Road <br />w los Altos Hills, California <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />Wednesday, April 14, 1976 <br />Reel 49, Side 1, Track I, Count 491 to end; Side 2, Track 2, Count 1 to 505. <br />Vice Chairman Schick called the meeting to order at 8:24 p.m. in the Council <br />Chambers, Town Hall, Los Altos Hills, California. <br />A. ROLL CALL: Vice Chairman Theodora Schick. <br />Commissioners William Hahn, William Perkins, Richard Rydell, <br />A. Michael Stewart, and Kenneth Young. <br />Also Present: A. D. Russell, City Engineer; K. R. Pastrof, Town Planner; <br />and D. Pennington, Secretary. <br />Absent: Chairman Judith Carlco <br />B. CONSENT CALENDAR: ADDroval of the Minutes of March 24, 1976. <br />At the request of the Chairman, this was removed from the Consent Calendar for <br />separate consideration. The minutes were then corrected as follows: <br />Page 2, near the bottom of the page, above the paragraph show Ing the vote: <br />Strike: The motion passed by the following vote: <br />Substitute: The vote on the motion was: <br />Page 3, under the paragraph showing the vote on the motion of the Pathway <br />Committee's recommendation, Insert: <br />Commissioner Stewart asked that the record show that the Commission <br />did not mean to Imply, in passing this motion, that the Pathway <br />Committee presentation had been either Inadequate or unprofessional. <br />What was meant was that the Commission could not tell where this <br />pathway would connect. <br />There being no further corrections, It was moved, seconded and unanimously <br />carried that the minutes of the meeting of March 24, 1976 be approved as <br />corrected. <br />Chairman Schick asked the secretary to ascertain, by researching Roberts <br />Rules of Order, whether It was proper for the Commission to make motions <br />and recommendations during what was posted as being a "Study Session." <br />Commissioner Perkins, Chairman of the Variance and Permit Commission, apologized <br />for that Commission's meeting unavoidably running overtime, and thus delaying <br />the start of this meeting. Chairman Schick noted the agenda for the meeting was <br />timed and wondered whether a motion so as to correct that timing, was necessary. <br />Mr. Russell advised that since the second scheduled Public Hearing, the Lands of <br />Taaffe, was going to be continued to April 28, quite possibly the meeting would be <br />on schedule by the time it was ready for the third Public Hearing, the LANDS OF <br />DICKINSON. <br />
