VARIANCE AND PERMIT COMMISSION <br />Town of Los Altos Hills <br />26379 Fremont Road <br />Los Altos Hills, California <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />Wednesday March 28, 1979 <br />Reel 77, Side 2, Tr. 1, 278 to 480 <br />Acting Chairman vanTamelen called the meeting of the Variance and Permit Commission <br />to order in the Council Chambers of Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present: Commissioners Kuranoff, Dochnahl and vanTamelen <br />Absent: Commissioner Lachenbruch <br />Also Present: City Engineer/Planner John Carlson, Secretary Ethel Hopkins <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br />The Minutes of the March 14th meeting were corrected as follows: The motion on <br />page two under Lands of Faroudja should read 'Motion Seconded and Carried: <br />Vote: AYES: Commissioners vanTamelen and Kuranoff, NOES: Commissioner Lachen- <br />�, bruch, ABSTAIN: None.' There being no further corrections to the Minutes, <br />Chairman vanTamelen declared the Minutes of March 14 approved as amended. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />1. LANDS OF JAISWAL, File #VAR. 7057-79, 13571 Hill Way, Request for Recommendation <br />of Approval for Variance in Setback to Construct a Garage (Continued at the <br />request fo the applicant to the meeting of April 11) <br />2, LANDS OF SNEDIGAR, File #BSA 6112-79, Fremont Avenue, Civil and Construction <br />Consultants, Inc., Engineers, Request for Recommendation of Approval of <br />Building Site Approval Request <br />Mr. Carlson presented pertinent information to the above request as detailed in <br />his staff report of March 28. Thereafter the hearing was opened to the public <br />discussion. <br />Gordon Snedi ar,71348 Churton Avenue, Los Altos, discussed the disposition of <br />t e present ome on t e property, the size of the proposed new dwelling, location <br />of the access and driveway, removal of trees, the fees charged on the list of <br />conditions, and finally, requested that the Building Site Approval request be <br />approved so that he would not be delayed with work on the property. <br />Commissioner Kuranoff noted the need for more information from the applicant <br />on his request to move the present building from the property, as well as a legal <br />interpretation from the City Attorney on Section 8-5.03 of the Municipal Code, <br />LL specifically, whether a variance was required of the applicant to move a building. <br />46r' Thereafter the public hearing was closed, and the following motions passed: <br />MOTION SECONDED AND PASSED UNANIMOUSLY: It was moved by Commissioner vanTamelen <br />and seconded by Commissioner Kuranoff to add as Condition 5: Prior to the <br />
