Minutes of a Regular Meeting <br />September 2, 1998 <br />Town of Los Altos Hills <br />City Council Regular Meeting <br />Wednesday, September 2,1998,6:00 P.M. <br />Council Chamber, 26379 Fremont Road <br />CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL <br />Mayor Johnson called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 6:00 P.M. in <br />the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br />Present: Mayor Johnson and Council Members Casey, Dauber, Hubbard <br />and Siegel <br />Absent: None <br />Staff: City Manager/City Engineer Jeff Peterson, City Attorney Sandy <br />Sloan, Planning Director Curtis Williams, Assistant Planner <br />C Shaunn O'Connor, and Public Works Manager Jim Rasp and <br />�I Roberta Wolfe Deputy City Clerk, City of Cupertino <br />Press: Carol Tiegs, Los Altos Town Crier <br />2. APPOINTMENTS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />3. PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT <br />The Planning Director reported that the following items were discussed at the August 26 <br />Planning Commission Meeting: 1) Lands of Bowers on Hidden Springs: had been <br />continued for redesign to try to rotate the house to protect some existing trees that were of <br />concern to a neighbor and lower the profile toward a downhill property - approved; 2) <br />Lands of Boissiere and Locker, part of Taaffe Subdivision: addressed concerns about <br />imposing height and second unit proposed, discussed landscaping - approved; 3) Lands <br />of Kamangar: request for a site development permit for a 1,641 square foot addition (20 <br />feet high) and remodel. Commissioner Gottlieb stepped down and addressed her <br />concerns as a resident. <br />Dauber suggested that they agendize for discussion the issue of grandfathering in free <br />basement space. <br />September 2, 1998 <br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />
