�w <br />Minutes of an Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />June 18,1997 <br />Town of Los Altos Hills <br />City Council Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />Wednesday, June 18, 1997, 5:00 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, 26379 Fremont Road <br />CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL <br />Mayor Hubbard called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City to order at 5:15 p.m. in <br />the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Hubbard and Councilmembers Casey (arrived <br />at 5:40 p.m.), Dauber, Johnson and Siegel <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Staff: <br />City Manager/City Engineer Jeff Peterson, Jim Rasp <br />Public Works Manager and City Clerk Pat Dowd <br />Press: <br />None <br />Technology <br />Michael Scott, Chairman and Les Earnest <br />Improvement <br />Committee: <br />2. TECHNOLOGY IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE: <br />A. 1996 Accomplishments <br />Michael Scott, Chairman, presented an overview of the 1996 accomplishments. These included <br />the following: a set of new PCs connected by ethernet was selected and installed; a parcel data <br />base system was acquired that included County data and that would be augmented by staff to <br />incorporate essential data on every parcel in Town; a new finance package was reviewed and <br />approved by various interested parties; and the Town's ordinances were scanned into digital form <br />from had copy and spell checked. <br />B. Goals and Objectives for 1997 <br />The following two goals were suggested for the coming yew: continue reviewing steps needed to <br />verify and systematically publish the digitized version of the Town's ordinances so as to provide <br />timely and economical updates; and continue examining the issue of replacing the microfiche <br />with digital archives. <br />C. Discussion of specific items brought up by committee and Council <br />Members or introduced in the goals and objectives <br />Chairman Scott commented that at the most recent committee meeting they had discussed the <br />goals for the coming year. They arrived at the conclusion that perhaps the best course was to stop <br />and reevaluate the programs now in place such as the parcel data base, new computer system and <br />June 19, 1997 <br />Adjourned City Council Meeting <br />
