CALL TO ORDER. ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Mayor Johnson called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 4:40 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br />Present: Mayor Johnson and Councilmembers Dauber, Hubbard <br />and Siegel <br />Absent: Councilmember Tryon <br />Staff: City Manager Les M. Jones, II, Director of Public Works Jeff <br />Peterson, Town Planner Linda Niles, Building Official Bill <br />Carino, Assistant Planner Suzanne Davis, Engineering <br />Technician Sheryl Kolf, Building Secretary Jeanne <br />Evilsizer and City Clerk Pat Dowd <br />Press: Jan Shaw, Los Altos Town Crier <br />2. STUDY SESSION ON TOWN'S FEE SCHEDULE <br />Council discussed the proposed fee schedule and in particular asked the Building <br />Official for input on how the building fees were determined. Part of this discussion <br />involved fees for new homes versus remodel fees. The subject of fees for small <br />projects was particularly addressed. Council agreed that there should be a flat fee of <br />$50 for projects under $2,000 and for projects over $2,000 the fee should be $100 plus <br />1 percent of assessed valuation. In going through the fee schedule, Council made <br />the following comments: preparation and review of draft EIRs should include the <br />statement 'by Town Staff'; fees for construction and structural additions should be <br />better defined as well as the energy fee. It was agreed that the fee schedule would be <br />changed to reflect these comments and brought back to the February 16th meeting <br />for approval. <br />February 2, 1994 <br />Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />
