Council presented Johnson with a picture of the Town Seal and thanked him for his <br />contributions to the Town as Mayor. He was commended for his decorum, excellent <br />communication skills and good humor in addition to the wide variety of <br />accomplishments of his term. Johnson thanked the Council for their assistance and <br />encouragement during the past year. It had been a busy but productive time and he <br />expressed his pleasure with the many tasks the Council had completed. In part <br />Johnson referred to a continued working relationship with the State toward the <br />completion of a Housing Element, the completion of the Town Handbook and <br />Design Guidelines Brochure, the placement of the Town Generator, a balanced fee <br />structure, completed contracts with the Little League, Westwind Barn and Los Altos <br />Garbage Company, continued important work by the Planning Commission on the <br />update of the General Plan and continued significant contributions by the Town <br />Committees. In addition to thanking the Council, Johnson especially thanked his <br />wife Susie for her outstanding patience and understanding. <br />3. PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT (Commissioner Ettinger) <br />Planning Commissioner Ettinger reported that in addition to those items on the <br />Council's Consent Calendar the following items were discussed at the June 8th <br />Commission Meeting: Lands of Chen, 27765 Lupine Road - request for a site <br />development permit for a new residence, pool and spa -- denied; Lands of Fremont <br />Hills Country Club, 12889 Viscaino Road - request for a site development permit, <br />conditional use permit and variance for club expansion - continued to June 29th <br />Special Meeting; and Lands of Chan, 14295 Saddle Mountain Road - request for a site <br />development permit for a new residence and pool - continued. Commissioner <br />Ettinger commended Johnson on his accomplishments as Mayor and Dauber <br />thanked Ellinger for his service to the Town as Planning Commissioner. She <br />further commented that appointments of two Planning Commissioners would be <br />made at the July 6th Council Meeting. <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Siegel and <br />passed unanimously to add Item 6.2 'Introduction of Ordinance amending the <br />Municipal Code relating to a Transportation Management Program to the Consent <br />Calendar. <br />Item Removed: 4.1 (Trvon) <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Hubbard and <br />passed unanimously to approve the balance of the Consent Calendar, specifically: <br />June 15, 1994 <br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />
